The Oracle EMEA (Europe, Middle East, Africa) Fusion Middleware Partner Forum held in Budapest Hungary was a huge success! Thanks to Juergen Kress who runs the Partner Program for Oracle in EMEA, the agenda was packed with sessions led by Oracle Product Management and Ace Directors. The focus for this forum was Oracle Cloud PaaS, SOA 12c, BPM 12c, and Mobility (ex. Mobile Application Framework, Alta, etc).
Flexagon was invited to the event based on the recommendation by Clemens Utschig-Utschig, a well known ex-Oracle Product Manager and SOA expert. After an overview and demonstration of FlexDeploy, Clemens felt the EMEA Partners needed exposure to the product and subsequently introduced Flexagon to Juergen Kress. That led to an invitation, including having an exhibition area to discuss and demonstrate FlexDeploy to the Partners. The results were excellent, with a lot very positive feedback and interest in FlexDeploy.
More than anything, the Partner Forum demonstrated the value of communities who share common interests and the desire to share experiences, technical expertise, and generate ideas on how to provide value to their constituents; in this case, the customers who use Oracle Fusion Middleware products and services. I was impressed by the Oracle Product Management team which was assembled; Amit Zavery, Vikas Anand, and Grant Ronald to name a few. The list of Oracle Ace Directors who led sessions was equally as impressive, with the likes of Lucas Jellema (AMIS), Danlio Schmiedel (Opitz), and Mark Simpson (Griffiths-Waite) to name a few. There were well over 15 Oracle Aces and Ace Directors at the event – an incredible gathering of top Fusion Middleware experts.
Thanks to Clemens and Juergen for introducing Flexagon to this wonderful community of Partners. We put faces to those we only knew at a distance, met a lot of new people, and started building relationships with many Community members who will be long term partners and friends over the years.
